Billing and subscriptions

How Pluria Premium works, where billing happens, and how to manage or cancel.

How you’re billedMonthly, auto-renew

Premium renews each month through the App Store or Google Play, until you cancel.

Premium scopePerson or page

Personal Premium and page Premium are separate subscriptions.

VerificationNot for sale

Verified badges require evidence and review; Premium uses a different badge.

RefundsThrough the store

Apple and Google handle refunds and any disputes about a charge.

How Premium is sold

Premium is sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play.

We use the standard in-app subscription that Apple and Google offer. The price, the billing period, taxes, and any free trial or introductory offer are shown on the purchase screen before you confirm.

Where Premium applies

Personal Premium

Covers the personal account that paid for it. It removes supported ads for that account and can unlock Premium product features for that person. It does not buy identity verification, trusted-voter status, or extra vote weight.

Publisher Page Premium

Covers the publisher page that paid for it. It removes supported ads on that page and unlocks page dashboards, publishing tools, and Premium page tools where available. Publisher pages still don’t vote — voting is for people.

Premium added by support

Sometimes our support team grants Premium access manually as part of resolving an issue. That kind of access isn’t an Apple or Google subscription, so it doesn’t renew on its own.

Premium stays with whoever paid for it. It doesn’t automatically move from a personal account to a publisher page, from one page to another, or from one Apple/Google account to another.

Verification and Premium are separate

Premium is a paid product tier. Verification is a trust review. A page can be Premium, verified, both, or neither, and the badges should tell people which is which.

Verified page

The page submits its public website and an official email on that same domain. Pluria sends a code to that inbox, then a moderator reviews the page before approving the verified badge.

Premium page

The page pays for Premium page access. Premium can remove supported ads for that page and unlock advanced tools, but it does not prove the page is the official organization.

Best public signal

Pages that publish regularly should usually do both: verify the organization so people trust the source, and use Premium when the team needs dashboards, tools, and ad-free operation.

How the billing works

  • Where it’s available, Premium is a monthly subscription that renews on its own.
  • Charges go to your Apple ID or Google Play account once you confirm the purchase.
  • Renewal dates, local taxes, store messages, and regional pricing are all set by the store for your country.
  • Free trials, introductory offers, and price changes follow the store’s rules — you’ll see the details on the purchase screen before you confirm.
  • If you subscribe on one platform, the subscription is tied to the Pluria account or page you bought it for — not to a different account.

Manage or cancel your subscription

Cancellations and changes go through Apple or Google — not through us. Deleting the app or your Pluria account doesn’t cancel an active subscription, so make sure to do that with the store too.

Apple App Store

Open Apple’s subscriptions page using the Apple ID that bought the subscription, then manage or cancel it from there.

Google Play

Open Google Play’s subscriptions page using the Google account that bought the subscription, then manage or cancel it from there.

Refunds and restoring a purchase

  • Refunds for App Store purchases go through Apple’s Report a Problem page.
  • Refunds for Google Play purchases go through Google under Google Play’s rules.
  • If you reinstall the app, change devices, or sign in again, use the “Restore purchases” option in the app to bring your subscription back.
  • If restore doesn’t work, email support@pluria.org and tell us whether you paid through Apple or Google, and whether the subscription belongs to a person or to a page.

Google Play users can also start a cancellation at Google’s subscription cancellation page or ask for a refund at Google Play refund help.

Deleting your account doesn’t cancel billing

Deleting your Pluria account removes your data and access — but it doesn’t cancel an Apple or Google subscription. You’ll need to cancel that with the store directly, otherwise it will keep renewing.

See Delete account for how account deletion works, and Terms of Service for the rules that cover billing.

Billing support

For restore problems, the wrong account being charged, or questions about whether a subscription belongs to a person or a page, email support@pluria.org.

For charges, renewal dates, or refund approvals, please contact Apple or Google first — they handle the actual payments.
